The Food Justice Summit is taking place at the DECC in Duluth, MN, November 4-6, 2019. They’re working hard to make it as inclusive as possible! Scholarship apps due today, Sept. 16th!

They are expanding their programming for Native and African American communities. Their scholarship deadline is today, Sept. 16th. If you are from an under-represented community and are doing food justice work, or are interested in learning how you can be helpful to the movement, send in an application today!

Their keynote speakers are:

Amani Olugbala, Community Educator associated with Soul Fire Farms. Bio from Soul Fire website: “a storyteller who weaves music, film, speech and poem into art that highlights social injustice, honors the ancestors and demands for change.”

Sean Sherman, The Sioux Chef, Bio from website: “main culinary focus has been on the revitalization and awareness of indigenous foods systems in a modern culinary context.”
